Saturn moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius December 2014: Saturn, the Lord of Karma, has been in Water Sign Scorpio since October 2012, which has been a boon for some, and a giant pain in the butt for many. Saturn brings us lessons about our responsibilities, commitments, and goals. Saturn is the ultimate “reality check.” When it lines up somewhere important in your chart, you’ll see exactly what’s working, and what’s not working! 2012 was the beginning of a very challenging astrological period for everyone, and it’s still going strong. And Saturn in Scorpio has been quite the task master, bringing up important lessons about money, resources, and necessary endings. Scorpio transforms us and Saturn represents structure. So during Saturn’s stay in Scorpio, many outworn structures in our lives had to end. The key is not resisting the inevitable, but joining with it! But that can be harder than it sounds sometimes.
Now that Saturn is tip-toeing into Sagittarius this December, the lesson plan will start to change. In some ways, it may not be quite as “heavy” as Saturn in Scorpio. We’ll be asked to take a look at our ideals and see if we can bring them into reality. To Sagittarius, the sky’s the limit. With Saturn, it has be pencil out and make logical and even fiscal sense. So, that will be the general idea over the next 2 and a half years. Sagittarians born in late December will be the first ones to really get the Saturn memo, and that will become apparent this December. During June, July, August, and September of 2015, Saturn will retrograde back into the late degrees of Scorpio for a while, and then will move in to Sagittarius proper on September18, 2015. This makes 2015 sort of a cross-over year, where we will still be revisiting some of the lessons from the last couple of years, as we begin to create new structures for the next few years.
Neptune in Pisces: First, the good news. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and is perfectly at home in this creative Water Sign. It’s been in Pisces since 2011 and will stay there until 2025! During this period, there will be major Spiritual Awakenings. The plight of the disadvantaged will be highlighted. The world will learn many lessons about healing, medicine, and compassion. Great mysteries will be uncovered. And art and creativity will be highlighted. Neptune in Pisces will likely bring about incredible advances in medical science, particularly related to the blood and genetic codes.
But Neptune in Pisces can also feel like a ball of confusion sometimes. Ask any Pisces born late in February how things have been going and you’ll probably get an earful. Neptune in Pisces has become their new best friend over this past year or more. And that can be one wild ride! Mysterious Neptune is sometimes very cool, as it is a good vibration for art, healing, and spirituality…but in general, for us mere mortals who aren’t busy saving the world or painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling, it can be a one way ticket to La La Land. Keywords: illusion, confusion, deception, self-deception, victim, martyr, savior, enabler, addict . Those kinds of things are much more likely to crop up if Neptune is messing with your birth planets. Problem is, you won’t see it coming. Neptune energy is hypnotic, mesmerizing, and powerfully seductive. We’ll think we’ve met our Soul Mate, or found the Holy Grail when Neptune is conjunct or in opposition to a key chart point. But that magical something is almost NEVER what it seems to be. It just usually takes a year or more to figure it out…and then, it’s often a bit late to do anything about it, or make up for lost time. So, if you feel like you might be in a Neptunian fog, take note: if it seems to good to be true, it probably is, and don’t make any big decisions you can’t un-do later. And really take care of your health. When in doubt, ask a friend who isn’t under a Neptune transit or come get a reading with me!
Uranus in Aries vs Pluto in Capricorn through 2015: Well, it’s true, this nasty little combo is still having its way with us! Power struggles, political strife, warlike tendencies, breakdowns, bizarre weather and earth changes, unstable economic trends…it’s all still going full tilt as Uranus and Pluto continue NOT to play nicely together. We’ve got a couple more years of this dance, so batten down the hatches and toughen up! Some surprisingly good things often arise during periods of conflict, as we are often forced to change. And sometimes these are positive changes in disguise that we (individually or collectively) wouldn’t make, if things were more peachy keen. So, out of struggle comes growth and triumph. And lots and lots of learning. The big message about this planetary combo is this: sign up for change and innovation. The old model of reality is being dismantled. If you try to cling to old patterns, habits, and beliefs that aren’t serving you, it won’t be pretty. Many of us will need to exit our comfort zone and embrace changes you never thought you’d have to face. Doing this willingly will open incredible new doorways. So, don’t be afraid if some other doors have slammed shut. Time for a new plan. This is revolutionary energy, and as crazy as things might seems sometimes, much good will come out of it for those who are working with the light.
