Astrology & the Election

Astrology & the Election

I’m writing this after predicting Presidential Elections, publicly, and with 100% accuracy since 1988. Until now. This is the first time I’ve been wrong. And it was pretty obvious, kind of like 2 + 2 = 4…and honestly, It just seemed so improbable I couldn’t believe it. And apparently, neither could almost every other astrologer I know. They all predicted Hillary Clinton. I think as soon as I saw that Trump would have a really, really good shot many months ago, I just started looking for all the reasons why it couldn’t happen instead of all the reasons why it probably would. So, I went back over my notes to see what happened and this is what I found. (BTW, a Trump-supporting client reminded me that I had told her initially that Trump would win months ago, and then appeared to change my mind. I had wiped that out of my memory. )

When you are predicting an Election, the Super Bowl, a Horse Race, or any kind of contest, there is a simple formula to use. This is just the astrological “math” folks, and has nothing to do with the moral or spiritual overtones, right or wrong, or anything else like that. But this is what astrologers use when trying to determine an “outcome.” I always do my best to be on the money with this, as it gives people a “heads up.” And it predicts the “most likely” outcome…not the best outcome. But the future isn’t set up yet…or is it? Sometimes, the hand of fate moves in mysterious ways…and it certainly seems to have done so in our Election.

So here’s how it goes. This assumes both contestants are equally matched in general. So let’s assume they are, since they wouldn’t have made it to the Finals if they didn’t have something going for them. Often, there will be a “dark horse” or underdog in a competition, but not always.
So what’s the formula? Here it is.

• What Sign is the Moon in on Election Day? The Moon is directly related to the Public at large. Aquarius
• What Planet rules the Moon on the day of the Election? Who does this planet favor? Uranus, which favors Trump, with major aspects in birth chart and good transits.
• What Element is the Moon in? Fire, Earth Air, or Water? It that good or bad for either party? Aquarius is Air, Trump is an Air Sign (good) with lots of fire (good.) Aquarius squares Scorpio and opposes Leo, Hillary’s main Signs. (not good at all.)
• What Houses will the Moon affect in each candidates Chart? The Moon in Aquarius is Hillary’s 3rd House, which is neutral to good, but in an Intercepted Sign (not good.) For Trump the Moon is in the 6th House, which is neutral, but it’s Angular and near his Part of Fortune (which is great.)
• What kind of Transits or Influences will the Moon make to planets in each candidates chart? For 2 days leading up to the Election, and on the day of the Election, the Aquarius Moon will make squares and oppositions (not good at all) to Hillary’s Key Planets in Scorpio and Leo, (not good at all.) For 2 Days leading up to the Election and on that day of the Election the Aquarius Moon trines and sextiles Trumps Key Planets in Air and Fire. (really, really good)
• What Sign and Element is the Sun in? What plant rules that sign, and who does it favor? The Sun is in Watery Scorpio with other Scorpio planets, which favors Hillary, a Scorpio. It is still favorable for Trump, as it trines his Venus and Saturn in Cancer.
• What house is the Sun in, in each candidates chart? The Sun in Scorpio is stuck in Hillary’s 12th House, of Self Undoing and Secret Enemies, even though it is spiritually significant. (not good at all.) The Sun in Scorpio is in Trump’s 3rd House of Communication, a house associated with his Sun Sign, Gemini (definitely good.)
• What kind of Transits or Influences will the Sun make to planets in their charts. The Sun in Scorpio will be conjunct Clinton’s Venus (good), but square to her Mars, Pluto, and Saturn in Leo (not good at all.) The Sun in Scorpio will be relatively neutral to Trump’s planets.
• What sign is Jupiter (Beneficial Planet) in, and how will it affect each person’s chart. Jupiter is in Libra, an Air Sign. Trump has Jupiter in Libra in his birth chart. This is his Jupiter Return, the beginning of a new 12 year cycle. This is about as good as it gets. And, Libra is an Air Sign, which favors him, as he has Air and Fire prominent in his chart. Trumps Jupiter is in the 2nd House, the House of Money. Transiting Jupiter is trine to his Uranus, favoring LUCK. Jupiter in Libra is conjunct Hillary’s Neptune, creating great compassion and a desire to do something selfless, but it can inspire FALSE OPTIMISM. This is just astrology 101 folks.
• What sign is Venus in, since it’s also a good planet, and how will it affect each person? Venus is in the Fire Sign Sagittarius, conjunct Trump’s Moon (really good) and opposite his Sun in Gemini (exciting and emotional.) Venus in Sagittarius is square Hillary’s Pisces Moon (not good for dealings with the public and emotionally crappy.) Venus is trine her Saturn, which good for work, but not strong.
• Look at the Moon for 2 days before the event, and see how it will influence each person. The Moon in Uranus ruled Aquarius affects both candidates for 2 days before the Election. Aquarius and Uranus have to do with Change, Upsets, Upheavals, Coups, Long Shots, Revolutions, and the Unpredictable. People always think of Aquarius as the symbols of the Age of Aquarius and Humanitarian themes. But on the most basic level of symbolism, Uranus/Aquarius is the Agent of Change…and sometimes the catalyst for BIG CHANGE comes in truly unexpected ways. Trump is an Air Sign, Gemini, with Leo Rising (Fire) and was born on a Full Moon in Sagittarius (Fire.) Air favors Fire. And Venus, Saturn, and Uranus are in Fire Signs now, which is great for him. And Jupiter is in the Air Sign Libra, which is also great for him. And his victory is being called a stunning upset. Sounds like Uranus/Aquarius, right??? He wasn’t the “favorite” he was the “long shot” or the wild card. He is even referred to as “the Agent of Change” and the notion of going against the Establishment (Pluto in Capricorn) was a huge part of his campaign. Uranus in Aries (Trump) square Pluto in Capricorn (Clinton.) Mars is the God of War, and rules Aries, and Trump has Mars in Leo conjunct his Rising Sign. Brash, bold, aggressive, and very Yang. Leo Rising, showmanship, winning personality, controlling, ego driven. Leo Rising people are hard not to notice. Sagittarius Moon people like Trump can be dogmatic, opinionated, and argumentative. Pluto rules Scorpio and Clinton has 4 planets in Scorpio and probably Scorpio Rising. And as strong, steady, and reliable as Scorpio is, they are often perceived as secretive and controlling, and on a PR level, their “toughness” factor is sometimes hard for people to warm up to. Pisces Moon people like Clinton often work for Causes relating to Humanitarian efforts, Women, and Children. The Aquarius Moon, and preponderance of Fire and Air planets, was not on Clinton’s side, particularly in the crucial days leading up to the Election. But it was for Trump.

The Next Chapter belongs to Saturn in Sagittarius, which will conjoin Trump’s Moon and oppose his Sun by mid-December, and carry on into 2017. This symbolizes major opposition. It can indicate legal problems, personal problems, problems with women, problems with public perception, major opposition, ill health, and blockages. Pence is a Gemini (3 planets) and will go through the Saturn issues during the same periods. So we will see what this brings up.
In the meantime, whatever your beliefs or who you voted for, we all need to stick together, as humans, and sentient beings. This is the “end game” of the Uranus/Pluto square, and we are entering the “problem solving” period…where all the major issues that came up during the last 6 to 7 years will be obvious. Astrologer Robert Hand predicted 2017 would be a critical turning point for people and our planet. He sites Climate Change, Ecological disasters, and major political and economic upheaval as the main problems. He wrote the article I am referring to about 6 or 7 years ago. We have a lot to do.

Planetary Influences 2016

Planetary Influences
2016

For the first time since 1988 I have been wrong about my prediction for US President! I’ll admit, it was a hard call, but I did end up predicting Scorpio Hillary Clinton earlier this year. But as fate would have it, Team Gemini, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, won the White House. Both Trump and his VP-elect were born under the sign of the twins, and both men will face an arduous road ahead, with oppositions from task master Saturn in the Sagittarius starting this December.

Saturn continues clicking along in Sagittarius…  Saturn is the planet that has to do with all the things we have to do…duties, responsibilities, and work. With Saturn in a Fire Sign for the next couple of years, at very least, that ought to “light a fire” under some of us to get more done. Sometimes, with Sagittarius energy, it’s just a matter of not trying to do everything at once! For Mutable Signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, there may be some obstacles to move from your path in the months to come, as Saturn will be in making strong aspects to you. But Saturn, the Lord of Karma, is related to Ganesh, the Elephant, the Remover of Obstacles! So putting action into problem solving is always the solution when Saturn presents us with our lessons.

Uranus in Aries is finally backing off from squaring Pluto in Capricorn. This super-challenging planetary combo has been hot and heavy since late 2011, and this aspect is still close enough to be felt by all. The good news is, this tough vibration is beginning to unwind and level out. The other news is, we humans still have A LOT of problem solving on our hands, given what has been set in motion and brought to light over the last few years. So, we’d better get busy! Cardinal Signs Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn will be feeling this energy on a very personal level for some years to come.

The last Mercury Retrograde of the year is coming up December 18, 2016 and will turn direct January 7, 2017. We will start feeling the effect by the beginning of December and they will carry on through mid-January. If there are any big decisions, purchases, contracts, or trips you are planning, try to get them done before December!

Neptune in Pisces: First, the good news. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and is perfectly at home in this creative Water Sign. It’s been in Pisces since 2011 and will stay there until 2025! During this period, there will be major Spiritual Awakenings. The plight of the disadvantaged will be highlighted. The world will learn many lessons about healing, medicine, and compassion. Great mysteries will be uncovered. And art and creativity will be highlighted. Neptune in Pisces will likely bring about incredible advances in medical science, particularly related to the blood and genetic codes.

But Neptune in Pisces can also feel like a ball of confusion sometimes. Ask any Pisces born late in February how things have been going and you’ll probably get an earful. Neptune in Pisces has become their new best friend over this past year or more. And that can be one wild ride!  Mysterious Neptune is sometimes very cool, as it is a good vibration for art, healing, and spirituality…but in general, for us mere mortals who aren’t busy saving the world or painting the Sistine Chapel ceiling, it can be a one way ticket to La La Land. Keywords: illusion, confusion, deception, self-deception, victim, martyr, savior, enabler, addict . Those kinds of things are much more likely to crop up if Neptune is messing with your birth planets. Problem is, you won’t see it coming.  Neptune energy is hypnotic, mesmerizing, and powerfully seductive. We’ll think we’ve met our Soul Mate, or found the Holy Grail when Neptune is conjunct or in opposition to a key chart point. But that magical something is almost NEVER what it seems to be. It just usually takes a year or more to figure it out…and then, it’s often a bit late to do anything about it, or make up for lost time. So, if you feel like you might be in a Neptunian fog, take note: if it seems to good to be true, it probably is, and don’t make any big decisions you can’t un-do later.  And really take care of your health. When in doubt, ask a friend who isn’t under a Neptune transit or come get a reading with me!

November 2014 Horoscopes

November 2014 Horoscopes

November begins with the Shadow of Mercury Retrograde still lingering. But at least we are out of the woods! Most of October was dominated by that somewhat annoying influence, so the fact that it’s fading is good news, at any rate. You may still notice glitches in communication and challenges with technology for the first week of the month. Nevertheless, November will represent a more accelerated and productive vibration in general, so take advantage of it!

There’s a Full Moon in Taurus on November 6, 2014 which will shed light on both love and money. With the Sun in Scorpio, there may be a bit of intensity on the emotional front, but Venus is also in Scorpio at the time of the Full Moon, which will soften things some, and put the emphasis on sex, love, and compassion.

If there is a period of November to approach with caution it will center on and around November 10, 2014, when Mars lines up with Pluto in Capricorn. Mars is traditionally known as the God of War, and Pluto can sometimes come off a little like a Grand Inquisitor, deciding ones fate. The combination of the two with the accompanying square to revolutionary Uranus in Aries could pack a real punch. I’d give this planetary combination a wide berth. So caution is advised from November 9 through 15. What to expect? People tend to get angry, riled up, and temperamental during these influences, and even destructive at times. Accidents and confrontation could also be a factor. So, if you see that kind of energy about to erupt with loved ones, friends, colleagues, or even strangers…get out of the way! And watch your own impulses and reactions carefully, too! Take it slow and tap in to your compassion and chill. Then you will be a help to others who may not have much perspective.

The New Moon in Sagittarius on November 22, 2014 should be a refreshing shift in the general mood of the day. With the Sun, the Moon, and Venus lining up together, creativity and enthusiasm will take hold. This gets the ball rolling in a very positive way for the upcoming holiday season. Hooray!
Horoscopes for November 2014

For all the Sun Signs: Tie up loose ends and solve problems during the first week of November. As I mentioned, Mercury Retrograde is fading fast, but there may still be some lingering problems to solve. Try to get things squared away as the Taurus Full Moon approaches on November 6th. After November 15 the somewhat angry vibes from Mars/Pluto/Uranus will have subsided, and things will really start to feel more and more progressive. Planning a party, wedding, or event? Try the weekend of November 15 and 16. Sunday, November 23 is also a terrific day for just about anything, with a cool trine from the Moon in Sagittarius to Jupiter in Leo. Lucky stuff! Opportunity Periods: November 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 23.

Aries (March 21-April 19) Rams born early in April will feel the brunt of the Mars/Pluto pairing in Capricorn. Hang in there and keep your cool if possible! You could get pretty cranky. For all Aries, relationships will be heating up, money issues will need attention, and if something needs to end, LET IT!

Taurus (April 20-May 20) The Full Moon in Taurus has your name on it! Expect powerful feelings and emotional events around November 6. With Venus in Scorpio in the mix, things could get steamy in the love department. The general mood? Positive but intense.

Gemini (May 21-June 20 ) Keep things neutral at work and at home. Pay attention to your health. Sound boring? It shouldn’t. Things might be a little quiet at the beginning of the month, but they will be a lot more exciting toward the end! So, store up some extra energy for that!

Cancer (June 21-July 21) Early Cancers may be in the crosshairs of the Mars/Pluto paring during the beginning of the month. Word to the wise: choose your battles and don’t get involved in the controversies of others. They’ll try to pull you in. The good news is you should feel remarkable sexy and creative this month, so have some fun with that!

Leo (July 23-August 22) Saturn is still messing with you a bit, bringing up issues at home and with loved ones. But hey, lucky Jupiter is on your side! Tackle responsibilities, keep your chin up, try not to complain, and take advantage of opportunities that will continue to arise! Things will feel particularly groovy for you towards the end of the month.

Virgo (August 23-September 22) Things are generally supportive of you now, and your ideas are flowing. Communication improves and as the month progresses you will likely get important news about a project or plan. The one catch for early Virgos is the Neptune opposition that’s hanging around. Embrace clarity and if it something seems too good to be true…IT IS.

Libra (September 23-October 22) Early Libras could feel spun around and upset by the Mars/Pluto/Uranus business at the beginning of the month. The main problems will center on relationships and family matters. Keep your cool. Things will smooth out by mid-month. Also, pay careful attention to money and monitor expenditures carefully as you might tend to overextend.

Scorpio (October 23-Novemeber 21) Happy Birthday Scorpios! Strong emotion and passion will characterize the start of the month. Venus in Scorpio will make it all feel pretty good! And you’ve almost graduated from over 2 years of work with Saturn in your sign. Things are looking up!

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) The first part of the month might feel a little quiet, but don’t let that fool you! Get your inner balance going so you can take advantage of exciting times towards month’s end.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Keep your cool as the month begins. People will be pulling your chain. Don’t take it personally. This is a time to make friends and influence people. So, keep your head on straight and do that!

Aquarius (January 20-February 18) Take charge at work and get the job done! Your efforts will be noticed! Feeling lucky? You should be! Particularly if you are single, as Jupiter is sending you good vibes from the Love Shack! Have fun!

Pisces (February 19-March 20) This is a favorable time for you. Learn, teach, and experience! Make friends with your spirituality and creativity and hang out with people of like mind. Many new things are possible now. Enjoy them!

Recent Predictions 2013

As many of you know, I have a perfect record making public predictions for US Presidential Elections, ever since Bush Senior got into office back in 1989. That’s a pretty darn good record, if you ask me. Sylvia Brown can’t touch that (hey, no offense, it’s just the truth.)

As many of you know I predicted Obama’s re-election. Unfortunately, Mr. Obama is going to have nothing but an uphill battle during much of 2013, with Saturn in Scorpio squaring his 12 degree Leo Sun. If Barack’s birth time and place are truly what we think they are (LOL) we may see some strange new allegations of wrong-doing on his park that end up in some sort of legal mess. Frankly, I hope not, but it could be so. At least by the end of October, Mr. Obama, and the Good Ol’ US of A will likely be getting a little break, as Saturn will start to ease up a bit.

But all that being said, Saturn Squares often push people to really toughen up and become extremely determined. Let’s hope that Obama can use some of this frustrating Saturn energy to push through some of his own blocks and get some things moving.

Crazy Times: 2009-2015

The following is being reprinted from Victoria’s Astro-Updates 2/3/11
Hey everyone. People have been asking me a lot of questions about what is going on in Egypt right now and what astrological factors are contributing to the current volatility. Part of it was sparked by a very short term transit of the Sun and Mars in Aquarius over the last days. But that was just a trigger to something much larger. What we are seeing is part of an astrological pattern that has been running strong over the past 2 years plus. And it ain’t over yet. I am not a fear monger and we can get through this, but the world is changing before our eyes, and it is very important to keep our eyes wide open. I got a lot of strong reactions to this newsletter when I sent it out in May of 2010; some positive, some skeptical. So, I just thought I’d give you all a chance to read it again, and put it in the context of today. I remain a realist and cautious optimist, and I truly believe in the power of prayer and the power of belief. This is certainly a time to use our spiritual energy for its highest good, and send a powerful message of peace through the psychic airwaves.

Interesting Times
I was very disappointed to find out that the old saying, “May you live in interesting times.” is not Chinese at all, and isn’t even an old expression. Oh, well. None of that changes the fact that we ARE living in them. And is it a blessing, or a curse? Well, probably both. So here we go! And it certainly will not be boring.
June is Busting Out All Over, and then some!
There are a slew of important astrological events this June. I’m not going to cover ALL of them, but I’m going to give you the low down on the really important stuff. And it really is a BIG DEAL, so head’s up, everybody.
Uranus in Aries
The planet Uranus (change and revolution) entered the fire sign Aries on May 27, 2010. Holy Smoke! Uranus by nature is volatile. It’s pure cosmic nitro-glycerine just waiting for a good shake. It hasn’t been in Aries since April 1, 1927 folks. And it’s been waiting. One notable occurrence immediately following Uranus’ entrance into Aries in April of 1927 was the Great Mississippi Flood. There was a lot of significant political/warlike activity as well, particularly in China. But the biggest thing that began setting up was something that would change the world and last for over a decade. The Great Depression was rearing it’s ugly head.
You’ve got to say, “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!” Then we’ll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open your window, stick your head out and yell, “I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!” Network
That’s pretty much it, in a nutshell. With Uranus in Aries, everybody gets very hot under the collar. People feel like mowing down the opposition. This can be positive, if you are using the energy to get off your butt and start living your life like you REALLY mean it. But that isn’t what everybody is going to do. People are going to be fed up and they aren’t going to want to put up. In essence, dominance, power, and control will be the order of the day. And on this planet, that means WAR.
I’m not saying there isn’t something good about Uranus in Aries. It’s a spectacular energy. And many people will use this energy to totally transform their lives. But the flip side will be raging and people are going to react and they are going to ACT.
Just think of all the big shots in Washington D.C., Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, as well as everybody else milling around Times Square. They all think they’ve got damned good reasons to smack some major ass. Even if there will be some backing down from July though December when Uranus goes retrograde, from this point on, it’s going to be a new world. Master Astrologer Michael Lutin
But for gosh shakes, you my readers, have a CHOICE. Yes, many of you will be pissed off as hell about someone or some thing. But make a conscious effort to use this rocket fuel to blast off to the life you really want to live. This is a giant wake-up call. So wake up! But keep your head screwed on as you forge ahead into this new frontier. And realize that many people around you may adopt a real “take no prisoners” attitude. Choose your battles and keep your wits about you and you just might completely revolutionize your life over the next couple of years. And in the mean time, if you see someone coming your way with a chain saw, they might not just be planning to cut up some fire wood.
Jupiter conjunct Uranus
From now until February of 2011, Jupiter (expansion, success) conjoins Uranus (innovation, freedom.)
This could be our ace in the hole. This will spark amazing new ideas and innovations. It won’t cancel out the other energies that are afoot, but it will certainly serve as inspiration that may help us get through the challenges. This combination is also linked to technological breakthroughs and scientific discoveries. One word to the wise; this combo does tend to magnify and exaggerate things, and that can go either way, really. In other words, if this power duo lines up with something particularly intense, (which it will) you can be sure that whatever it triggers will be really BIG. It can also foster a lot of false optimism, so beware.
Uranus in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn
Until November 17, Uranus (change, revolution, unexpected events) squares Pluto (emotional changes, irresistible transformation, overwhelming force). These planets are both really heavy hitters in their own right. Uranus can be like a lightening strike; either bringing in a blast of cosmic truth, or Thor’s hammer coming down on your head. And Pluto? Well, they don’t call him the Lord of the Underworld for nothing! Pluto can serve as the agent for the most powerful and profound changes of your life. But Pluto can be volcanic in it’s delivery. So, put these two guys in a square or tense aspect with each other, and, well, let the games begin! With these two in tandem, the term “earth-shattering” comes to mind. And pleeeeze don’t fault me for sounding negative here folks. I’m just calling them like I see them.
Uranus square Pluto is part of an astrological pattern that people have been calling the “Cardinal Climax”, in which Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, form a T-cross on first degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn.) Right before, during, and after the Lunar Eclipse of June 26, the Sun and Mercury will join in and create a Grand Cross, and at the Eclipse, the Moon will make a total of seven planets in the Grand Cross. Saturn will still be in late Virgo at that time, but it will still be part of the party. The Cardinal T-Square pattern continues through the end of 2010, some of its influence will still be in effect in 2011, including the Uranus-Pluto square. This influence is unprecedented, at least in our lifetimes, and the acceleration of change will be spectacular. The word “explosive” comes to mind. I guess it goes without saying that this ain’t going to be a walk in the park. But once again, when the going gets tough, the tough get going, so some of this energy will serve to mobilize powerful forces inside of us that we can channel for the good.
Earth Changes
Oh, and by the way. You might remember me telling you that Uranus is an earthquake trigger. Well, with the energy lineup that is setting up later this month, I would be surprised if we didn’t see some dramatic forces of nature displaying their wares. I would imagine earthquakes will be part of the deal, but volcanic activity comes to mind as well. And you know, nothing would surprise me, quite frankly. So, and I’m kind of not kidding, make sure you have one of those survival kits in the garage, okay? If I feel any weird psychic feelings about any of this beforehand, I will certainly give you all a heads up.
The “Soulution”
There’s actually a lot more going on this month, but this is a lot to digest. And the items I highlighted are definitely going to take center stage. Saturn did go direct the other day, and this may assist some of us in our quest to get beyond our current limitations. Take note, Virgos!
My main message is this. Move into this period with your eyes wide open. This is an important time. Not just because we will see dramatic events as history unfolds before our eyes. But because we all need to realize that we have a chance to move into this new energy in a state of grace and strength. The time is nigh. If you’ve been in a funk, time to get out of it. If you’ve been delaying important decisions, make them. If you’ve been sitting on your hands, stand up! There isn’t any more time to waste. Take a stand, for your self. Get your own energy into the best place you know how to get it. It’s time to connect to the Peaceful Warrior within you. Be impeccable. Stand up tall. Meditate deeply and join your energy with The Force (yes, I am a Star Wars geek.) This IS the answer. So my suggestion? Make a commitment to yourself, right now, to embrace the light and drop any negativity you are holding on to. Drop it like a bag of bricks, as my friend Cutter once told me. Do that. Right now. Now, more than ever before, we need to become the conduits for positive change. I’m signing up for that. How about you?
