The 7 Chakras

This is a handy-dandy cheat sheet on the basic meanings of the Chakras or energy centers of the human energetic body. You can use these symbols and images in your meditations or when seeking to activate certain things in your life. Example: Need more sexy energy in your life? Visualize the Second Chakra area radiating a vibrant orange glow. Wear orange or put orange into your home décor. Do deep breathing, imagining that you are inhaling bright orange charged air into your lungs on the inhale.

First Chakra : the Kundalini Chakra or Root Chakra, Color: Red

The symbol is a dragon or serpent

Energy center: base of the spine, tail-bone

This is our primary connection to earth energy, it is our power source, and has much to do with our level of vitality. It is connected to our expression of power and energy.

Second Chakra: Sacral Chakra , Color: Orange

Energy Center: About 6 inches below your navel and/or sexual organs.

The symbol is water and fish.

This is the sexual chakra and has to do with our creative energy.

 

Third Chakra: Solar Plexus Chakra, Color: Yellow

Energy Center: About 6 inches above your navel. 

The symbol is air and birds.

This is the center of confidence and personal power.

 

Forth Chakra: Heart Chakra, Color: Green

Energy Ecnter:  Heart/Lung area, mid-chest

The symbol is four-legged mammals.

This is the crux between the lower chakras, which represent personal energy, and the upper chakras, which connect us to spirit. The energy is about love and healing.

 

Fifth Chakra: Throat Chakra, Color: Turquoise Blue

Energy Center: Throat area and neck.

The symbol is humans

This is the communication and expressive center.

 

Sixth Chakra: Third Eye Chakra, Color: Indigo

Energy Center: Right between your eyebrows, the eye area in general

The symbol  is spirit beings. This is our connection to psychic and spiritual awareness.

 

Seventh Chakra: Crown Chakra, Color: Violet or Crystaline White

Energy Center: top of the head and directly above it.

The symbol is divine beings

This is our link to the heavenly realm and the higher self.
